"Let me help you decide which cannabis oil may be best for you."

Lonnie Painter,  Director

Cannabis and Healing

We offer a broad array of cannabis services geared to address illnesses and injuries. Our team will guide you through  your options to make sure that you are comfortable with your treatment plan.

Our organic cannabis oil contains THC, CBD as well as their acidic precursors THCA, CBDA. These acidic cannabinoids are powerful components of the healing powers contained in cannabis oil.

Our Promise to You

“We test our cannabis for pesticides, bacteria, potency & terpenes. Terpenes are a guide when explaining why one strain might be better than another for a specific purpose. Terpenes are present in high enough mg to have a pronounced effect. Some terpenes are sedative, anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety, anti-depression, memory boosters. If you wanted a strain that would relieve pain, give you energy and not make you sleepy we would read the lab results and point out ones that could be best.

FOOD FOR THE BODY, MIND, AND SOUL

The cannabis plant contains hundreds of compounds, it’s a pharmacy in a plant and science is just beginning to understand this amazing rich source of future medicine. However, there are a lot of inferior, ineffective and possibly even harmful cannabis oil medicines out there. Some Cannabis oil in the market place may contain only THC. Which may be effective for some medical issues but may not be effective for others. And as a cancer treatment THC used by itself may not be effective and could make matters worse. A top quality cannabinoid medicine may need more than just THC & CBD.

SAFE

Our Organic oil is extracted using

Applied Separations Co2 Extraction Technology. This is a safe nontoxic extraction method used in food manufacturing.

Cannabis Extraction

Some providers use toxic solvents like butane, hexane, even rubbing alcohol to extract the oil from the plant. That is not medicine.

Cannabis Oils TESTED

We TEST our oils! First the bud is tested. After the extraction, the oil is tested before offered to Collective. The oils will be tested again to be sure they are still offering the same amount of cannabinoids.

TESTING Label

The photo above this is a 1:1 label.

This is a 1:1 ratio with THC & CBD at 21 & 22 mg per ml. There are also 23.9 mg of THCA & 15.5 mg of CBDA per ml. Each ml contains 84.67 mg of cannabinoids. A bottle with 5 ml of this oil would contain 423.35 mg of cannabinoids and cost about $60 plus tax.  Compare this to any other oil in the market. Divide the price by mg of cannabinoids not amount of oil in the bottle.

Indica or Stativa?

We do not label our cannabis as indica or sativa because scientists and cannabis testing labs as well as our own experience, tell us that those terms say nothing about effects only what the plant may have looked like while it was growing. This urban myth about indica and sativa is wide spread and still believed by many including patients as well as doctors, but unless the cannabis is tested for cannabinoids and terpenes there really is no way to know if one strain could be better than another for pain relief, insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, etc. Scientists who study cannabis tell us it is not only cannabinoids that determine effects but also terpenes which are the molecules that create the bouquet or smell. These terpenes have physiological effects even in the minute amounts contained in cannabis. These terpenes can be sedative, muscle relaxant, anti-anxiety, reduce depression, anti-inflammatory, help with memory and do a host of other effects. It is only through complete lab testing do we know if the plant is free from toxic pesticides, mold and bacteria. It is only through this testing and understanding of the results that give us a clue of what strain may be better than another for a desired effect. We can recommend which strain may be better to help with sleep, pain, anxiety, depression.

Testing and Terpenes

We test our cannabis for pesticides, bacteria, potency and terpenes.

Many dispensaries & their bud tenders and even doctors will make suggestions of indica & sativa for different effects. If they do, you can bet they have very little scientific knowledge about cannabis. Those terms are an urban myth. There is absolutely no truth in it. Ignorance is one of the many big problems this industry has. Ignorance and when that is coupled with profit seeking and a lack of sensible regulations we end up with bud tenders who repeat that nonsense while making recommendations to people who could be seriously ill and need cannabis medicines based on facts, on the latest research.

Cannabis Treatment

Cancer

The active component of the marijuana plant, cannabinoids, have shown to inhibit tumor growth and kill cancer cells in lab testings. We work with a number of patients who use cannabis to treat their cancer and suppress it's side effects.

These acidic cannabinoids not only reduce pain and inflammation but may be needed for cannabis to be effective against some cancers.

Seizures

Medical marijuana contains antispasmodic qualities which relax muscles and has shown to be an effective treatment for seizures. Marijuana oils that are rich in cannabidol (CBD), are the preferred method for treatment.

Chronic Pain

Patients who suffer from chronic pain caused by diabetes, cancer, MS, HIV, and other diseases have been turning to medical marijuana as a way to treat their pain without the use of addictive pharmaceutical medications.

About Us

Grass Roots

Lonnie Painter, a restauranteur and chef, is a former member of the Orange Coast College's Advisory Committee in the Culinary Arts. He has taught chef apprentices from OCC's Culinary Arts program at his award winning restaurant in Laguna Beach, Cafe Zoolu. Painter, as director of the Village Cannabis Collective, has brought the same high quality care he demonstrated while running his prized restaurant.

Laguna Woods was the first city in Orange County to approve medical cannabis. The city council unanimously voted in favor of coding laws to allow cannabis dispensaries; however, some property managers in the city refused to rent to dispensaries, stating federal legalities as their reasoning.

Cannabis Healing

The Entourage Effect
What is responsible for the different effects from various strains of cannabis? For that answer we look to what the brightest minds in cannabis science tell us. They tell us it's a combination of a users individual mental and physiological make up and what they call the entourage effects. This is the total cannabinoid and terpene composition of the plants.

Cannabinoids, of which there are between 80-100 include THC, CBD, CBG and many others as well as there acidic precursors. Terpines are the molecules which cause the odor or bouquet of the plants. Terpines provide different medical effects, some are anti-inflammatory,  sedative, muscle relaxant, anti-depressant, stimulants and pain relieving. By understanding the complete make up of the plant we may have a clue which strain could be better for each individual. And it is only through the lab analysis and knowledge of the entourage affects that allow us to make an informed recommendation.
